In any event, the first meeting is important. You want to make a good impression on them, but also make sure they’re a good fit for you. Do you have similar personalities or work ethics? Do your company values align with one another? These are questions you want answered from the get go.

Working on a client’s project over a six month or year long period is much like nurturing a relationship. You’ll be spending time, resources, and money on this client, and you want to deliver results and show them you care. This is a trial period to make sure you’re a great fit for one another. If not, don’t be afraid to cut each other loose.

The Engagement
